Welcome to Lingle's Learning Lair! I can't believe we are already a week into the new school year! This class is phenominal. Everyone has been here all week and have worked very hard! I am looking forward to a great year and getting to know you and your child. I hope we can work together for your child. Please call if you have any questions or concerns.
Our class mission:
Our mission as a 5th grade team is to be our best and try our best. We will do this by coming to school, studying, being good listeners, and being respectful to others. This will help us get to the middle school.

Class Announcements ReadingWe are reading and studying different genres in reading. Your child is expected to read for a minimum of 20 minutes each night including on the weekends. This will increase their vocabulary and comprehension skills. The more they practice, the better readers they become!
Students are expected to take AR tests (these will be taken during the day at school). Each day, I will be conferencing with a group of students to keep updates on their reading. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me. MathWe are moving into decimals. We will spend the next week looking at the place value, rounding, and comparing and ordering decimals. Your child can expect to have homework each night except Fridays.
